A visitor's map

A short route through the pages, galleries, and terminal.

EXPLORE / A VISITOR'S MAP

Begin anywhere. These are the paths through the published collection:

  /site/pages/about.txt What this place is
/site/pages/projects.txt Three studies on the workbench
  /site/pages/field-notes.txt Color, motion, and texture
/site/pages/readme.txt The shell guide and a gallery recipe

GALLERIES
  /site/galleries/sunset Afterglow / Sunset Studies
  /site/galleries/signal Signal / Color Frequencies
  /site/galleries/orbital Orbital / Quiet Machines
  /site/galleries/photographs People & Places / fifteen photographs

People & Places brings together five portraits and ten views of streets,
mountains, and quiet passages. These are photographs by the credited
Unsplash contributors, collected here for looking and visual studies.

Open a page with nano. Ctrl+O saves, Enter confirms its filename, and Ctrl+X
exits. The on-screen editor buttons send these same keys on a phone.

Open a gallery from any directory:
  bash /site/galleries/signal/show.sh
  bash /site/galleries/photographs/show.sh

Its images appear in the upper display. Use Previous and Next to move through
the collection, or Return to ASCII to bring the object back. Your shell stays
where you left it. The Display menu switches the image treatment.

The terminal starts as guest. Read ~/start-here.txt to find the short puzzle
that opens /site. If puzzles are not your thing, the last hint gives the
answer; the public reader also opens all published content directly.

TRY A SMALL DETOUR
  pwd
  ls -la /site
  ocean help
  ocean speed 0.25

Typing and exploring can nudge the object. Selecting a model yourself gives
you control; automatic reactions can be re-enabled in the Display menu.
Pause, reduced motion, and sound controls are always yours to set.
