About Trove
What this place is and how to make yourself at home.
ABOUT / TROVE A personal portfolio, with the door left open. Trove collects digital experiments, visual studies, and things worth keeping. It is a place to look closely and try things. A shape turns in a field of characters. A shell waits for a command. Images live in folders beside the words that describe them. The interface borrows the warmth of old record sleeves, the glow of a terminal, and the unhurried feeling of finding a new directory on someone else's computer. Everyone is welcome, whether you know your way around a shell or have never used one. There is no correct route through it. Read the visitor's map, take a gallery detour, or slow the object down until it almost stops. The public reader offers the same published pages and images without needing to solve the puzzle. The terminal is a real Alpine Linux machine inside your browser. It starts with a clean filesystem for each visitor. Become root through the little puzzle, edit a page in nano, and see what changes. Your guest's root account belongs to that temporary machine; it does not change the published site. This first collection is made from original geometric SVG studies. They are drawings made for this site, rather than photographs or a personal archive. The Original and Dithered grayscale treatments are two ways to view the same work. Choose the version that feels right, then keep wandering. NEXT nano /site/pages/explore.txt bash /site/galleries/sunset/show.shRead the raw text file
