## One notebook, two entrances This page is a **Markdown source file**. Open it from the portfolio or run `/site/pages/markdown-demo/show.sh` in the terminal: both read the same published text, images, GIF, and links. ![A quiet signal moving between three warm stations](signal.svg) ### Keep the moving parts nearby The small animation below is a local GIF. Put images and GIFs beside `index.md`, then refer to their filenames. Copying this whole folder in a terminal session keeps the notebook and its media together. ![A warm signal sweeps across a dark strip](signal.gif) - Write headings, paragraphs, **bold**, *emphasis*, and `inline code`. - Use ordinary Markdown images for photographs, drawings, and animated GIFs. - Link to [About Trove](../about.txt) or open the [signal gallery manifest](../../galleries/signal/manifest.json). ### Edit once, publish together ```sh nano /site/pages/markdown-demo/index.md /site/pages/markdown-demo/show.sh ``` Session edits are temporary. For a lasting change, edit this source in `content/pages/markdown-demo/`, rebuild the content, and export the guest seed. The authoring guide in `content/README.md` gives the full workflow. > A shared source keeps the website and a fresh terminal session in step.
